if you plan on keeping the cover off for a while, just put a clean garbage bag over the head. there's absolutely nothing you can mess up as long as you don't drop anything down into the combustion chamber. but you don't have to take the spark plugs out to take off the valve cover, so you're good.

HAHA... I was soo very much wondering that! And "BUMPS!" on the ride. I'll get there eventually. Taking my time learning the art of mechanics first was some cleaning. Next brakes!

I have heard that Twincharged are complicated....but if doable and gaining the Pro's of both while negating the Cons of both...then why not?

take my advice... do it before it blows haha! bought parts EVERYWHERE lol. bought rods and pistons on ebay as a set. had to buy a new crank and bearings through a gm dealership in texas. balance shafts and seals through zzp. timing sets and gaskets through the parts store my mom works at. head components through THMotorsports. head studs through TTR. head gasket through a guy on css.net. and did the machining through a shop my uncle uses. rockauto for a few oem parts. crankcase bolts through CED. probably a few more companies. i find part numbers and just use google shopping to find the best prices.

I like this car man. Wish i could go boost anytime soon. One thing I'm wondering is why did you need a new crank?
