Getting Bad Mpg?

i feel like im getting bad gas mileage..i just recently changed the oil and bought a k&n drop in filter..iv driven just over 100 miles on this tank of gas and im under 3/4 tank..could the filter be breaking in or something? or was my expectation of the cobalts gas mileage to high?

Tank might not been as full, give a couple of tanks you'll see. Mine went up only by 3% on the Cobalt with the K&N. They claim 10 to 15%, maybe if you replace a dirty air filter.

Your saying your only getting 10 or 11 mpg???

Is there a hole in your gas tank? My old S-10 pickup gets better than that!

Ya if the 10-11 MPG is the case that is horrible. Do you have the Information system on your car? You an also get an app on the phone to keep track of your fill ups and everything and calculations ur MPG.

He said he drove 100 miles, and only used 1/4 of a tank. That's about 26-27 or so.

My bad. I thought he used 3/4 of a tank. 26, 27 is about normal depending how and where you drive.

Yeah.

Rriggs92: what percentage city and highway do you drive? Where do you shift at (RPM), throttle percentage, etc?
