MPG Readout

So, I have a question about the MPG readout. Right now, mine displays average overall mpg. Is there a way to show current MPG rather than overall average?

I know with my 09 LT I have an instant MPG info option. Might have to keep reseting Overall mpg to find current mpg?

Hit the info button. It will scroll through.

By the way, I love the overall MPG. Mine bounces between 30-99 every couple of seconds. It's like to trying to use a level on a bucking bronco.

What year is your balt? 05-06 don't have the instant mpg in the DIC only the average (I know for sure my 05 doesn't). If you really want to know though, I think they make ones that plug in where the code reader does that show instant mpg.

i have a 07 and mine dont have a instant mpg either, atleast i dont think it does. i wish it did though as my average mpg is not right, it is always about 3 mpg too high.

My 08 has instant but I use an ultraguage to watch my fuel consumption more closely. If you're interested in your instant mpg and/or saving gas I would suggest one. They are a little annoying to get them accurate but overall I like mine.
