Fuel System Cleaned

Hello all,
I have a 2010 Lt1 4 door, 65k miles.
Mechanics told me during oil change that my fuel system needs service. I am student, and dont have a whole lot to spend.
Should I let them do the service eventually, upgrade my fuel? How can I clean it the cheap way?

Just get the GM fuel treatment once every 10 or 12 tanks and clean your throttle body.

This was most likely suggested due to your mileage, not because of symptoms or problems. You may also want to swap your fuel filter as well if you want to really keep on top of things. All very easy stuff to DIY.
