Taller Tires for MPG. What's Your Experience with Your Cobalt?

I have some lighter weight than stock wheels (Ronals) that I am thinking of getting some particular tires for which are taller for some highway running. My stock wheels and tires I would put away temporarily. I have done this on other cars in the past with good results as long as they fit in the fenderwells. I've done the math and know what the percentage of change is and I like the tires I'm looking at. Good rolling resistance rating and decent traction rating too. Just wondered what results someone else has had doing this with a Cobalt. My LS has plenty of low end torque and could use a more highway friendly gear and a gear change is obviously not going to happen. I'm not worried about handling or braking. I'm not making that much of a compromise and this is open country in Louisiana, not midtown Dallas flyways.

If you do a lot of highway I would definitely consider going with the tallest tire you can find. Keep in mind that a 10% ratio will not necessarily give you 10% fuel gain. You will have to factor in the ratio in your speedometer and odometer readings or get your Cobalt instrument panel corrected by somebody that has a Tech II.
