Premium Gas

Here's a dumb question: Would using a higher grade gasoline in a car still running a stock 87 tune affect fuel economy or performance? If not, would there be any advantage at all?

Burns better, as in cleaner emissions?

I put in 91 last night because it's 3˘/L cheaper on Thursdays.

I used E85 but thats regular in Colorado. If I do road Trips I always use Premium. Feel like it runs better and gets slightly better mpg's but that could just be in my head.

Maybe for a direct injection engine. Otherwise I can't imagine an NA's intake manifold being that hot. Ours is made of plastic afterall.

There's a great debate about beneficial additives in higher grade gas. Nobody really knows if that's true or if they're effective.

no better, works the engine more to burn the higher grade... your money though as I say to them people who think it actually makes a difference.
