Battery vent important? Or not?

While changing the battery the vent broke off is it unsafe to drive. Is it a must get new 45°platic piece? And where?? Thanks a bunch

Like your post says it's a vent. If you're not doing long trips I wouldn't worry too much but if youa re going to take a long trip and are going to be in the car for long periods I would replace it. For what it cost I'd replace it. You only have one set of lungs.

Last night my car was idling funny, like it wanted to shut down. I went to make sure the battery cables were tight. That little elbow corner vent was loose. It's got a little split in it making it a little loose I went ahead an pushed it back on and it was fine. Looks like you already got help parts. Good luck
