Amp wiring question

Just spent a most irritating 20 minutes online with a Sony "tech" (script-reader). I have a question wiring a Sony Xplod amp into my daughters Cobalt, and from reading around here, I'm guessing some of you have run into this before..

This is an XM-ZR1252 amp, being wired with high-level input to be used as a mono amp for a sub-woofer. The wiring diagram in the manual is very non-specific, and the pinout for the amp's high level input connector is contradictory in two places in the manual. Question - am I simply wiring left\right - pos\neg from the rear speakers to the same inputs for the amp? Second question, does anyone know if the striped wire on this particular amp is pos or neg (this is where the diagram contradicts itself) ?

Thanks in advance for any help

you got it. Amp white srtiped is L pos, Gray Striped is R Pos. You could always get a line out converter if it does'nt work,.
