Question Stock Headunit, Aftermarket Amp?

Right now I have an Alpine headunit in my 08 cobalt lt sedan connected to the factory speakers and have 2 10" Alpine type R's in the trunk with a Kenwood amp. I am thinking about putting the stock radio back in because I park in a bad neighborhood at school and don't want the car broken into. I know that in the trunk I would need to get a line out converter and do a wire tap to the rear speakers to reconnect the amp and subs up to the stereo, so that's no problem.

But, I was wondering if anybody has added an amp to the normal speakers with the stock radio because the stock's output is pathetic. I'm sure it won't be very difficult to add one in but I would rather not cut into the factory harness. Also, so I was wondering if I would be able to find a wire harness that would be to the factory speakers, and also the other end to go into the stereo so I can easily pull everything out if something goes wrong with the car. I really don't want to void my warranty by cutting into some wires.

hmm not sure but Im confident it can be done. But why don't you just put an alarm, and cover your stereo everytime you leave your car? I throw a black shirt over my whole dash, and im getting an alarm next week. I'm also gonna tint my windows as dark as possible to make it even harder to see inside. As long as you don't blast out in that area, the thieves won't hear you and follow your car and wait till you're gone and break into it. I had 1 break-in on my old car. They were watching me for a while im sure. I didnt have an alarm or cover my dash, and didnt know i was parking in a bad area. My mistake, really. After i did all that stuff I never had a problem for like a year.
