Rockford Fosgate Questions

Alright so I made my own enclosure this weekend, got the wires all good, then went to use the 12" P2's my brother gave me and they were blown. SO I'm getting a new amp and P3's. What should I look for when it comes to OHM's and mono amps. The subs I want are 500w and the amp is 1000w but I'll be bridging it to both subs.

what amp is it? are the subs 500 peak or normal running? if its 500 peak and a non jl amp your gonna want more power. the only company that has the power as the normal running, not the peak output, is JL. meaning you wont actually have 1000 watts so you wont be fully powering your subs

haha it's alright, but I was going to do the slims because the box I fiberglassed was built only deep enough for the P2's, but the P3's are only a little bigger and I have enough air volume for em.

good news speakers weren't blown just the way the wires were hooked up made it sound like garbage. I'll put some pics up under the Custom Sub Enclosure thread when I get some pics

had that amp. friging sick amp. Should power those subs like crazy. Will be more than enough to power your P3's, and yes it is a bit over 1000rms at 1 ohm but I'm assuming you're going to bridge the subs at 2 ohms? sry im late on this thread lol you prolly already finished your install!!
