Anyone Use PAL to Control IPod

Personal Audio Link for the Ipod. It allows you to control your iPod through the factory radio. I don't have XM, so I am thinking about adding this. Looking for some feedback...

I'm also wondering if an aftermarket product would work...like the Neo Gateway

Yea, tho I cruise through the valley of the shadow of rice, I will fear no Turbo,
for Torque art with me. Thy rods and crankshaft, they comfort me.

Gotta quote from the dealer...$225 installed! They said it should work with my US8 radio even though I don't have XM or onStar. I think I'm gonna get it in a few weeks, got to generate some extra fun money first!

So would this device need the car to be reflashed or is it just plug and play?

The dealer said it is plug and play. You need to have the US8 or US9 RPO code for it to work though. U1C will not work.
