Bass Rattles Trunk???

I am thinkin about gettin some subs for my cobalt and i was just wondering if anyone who has done this gets a lot of rattling from the trunk area. In my last car i had two 12's in my trunk and it rattled like no other because of the spoiler... and i have a spoiler on my cobalt so i dont wanna have the same thing happenin. And i know dynamat would help but i dont wanna fork out another 200 bucks to get my trunk dynamated

i got one 400W RMS sub in my trunk and it rattles. i think the cobalt is the most rattle-ing car because every thing rattle...i mean the whole car....it helps so much if u open the back seat that leads to the trunk because it spreads out the bass and even makes it sound better, and if u dont mind where the sub is faced face it towards the front of the car where the back seat is open. for example, subs sound best in any suv because the bass travels better and dosnt "get stuck" in the trunk. that is why dynamat is so helpfull because it "saves" the bass and prevents it from escaping the car, that is rattle

You can get Dynamat copy off of Ebay for about half or the name brand stuff.

Dynamat helps, it was bad in my balt so I pointed my sub towards my seats instead of the trunk, with the seats down it pounds crazy hard and it looks bad ass too.

I have a badass sub in my cobalt ss supercharged it has a spoiler and ya it rattles a little bit but i have it pointed towards the back and just open the seat behind the drivers seat and let it spread out. and im telling u, my sub bangs, dynamat is not necessary.

I went 3 weeks without dynamat and it sounded fine inside the car but outside it sounded like my car was dieing. My two 12's are competition quality and arent quiet nor do i ever have them turned down....so yes i suggest it, but if your short for cash get the knockoff stuff which should do a good enough job for now

Cobalts rattle badly enough on their own, much less with help from aftermarket subwoofers.

yes its going to rattle. no theres not much u can do about it other than dynamat. as everyone else said, the best option is to face the sub towards the cabin and then drop the seats down. thats how mine is and it hits u hard like that.
