Warning Chimes

So I'll try and makes this short as possible.

A friend of mine has a Pontiac G5 with Pioneer sound package. She wants to put an aftermarket headunit in it and I told her you will need an adapter so you don't loose all your turn signal and warning chimes.

Long story short she didn't listen to me and had one of her crackhead friends install the headunit. He cut the factory stereo harness and rigged it up to the new headunit. This caused all kind of problems. The amplifier was always on so it killed the battery. All warning chimes and turn signal sounds where lost.

She wants to sell the car cause she can't afford the car and right now the stereo system is a mess.

Anyway, what I'm trying to do it wire up the headunit to whats left of the factory harness so the stereo works and turns on and off as it should with the car.

I counted about 16 wires (I think) that from the car harness. I did some research here and only 11 of those wires are use to wire up the stereo.

Any clue to what these other wires are? Maybe some of these wires are for the chimes and signal sounds?

At this point it's a mess but I'm trying to get it wired up to the point it useable and maybe even has some warning sounds too for safety reasons.

go to a junkyard and cut out a harness? Just a thought, but it shouldn't be expensive.

OMG what fail....hope she learned her lesson...NEVER HALF-ASS that SH*T!

Does she, by any chance, have the cut end of the stock harness?

her crackhead friend had not a clue what he was doing...

Also assuming it's a 2005-2007 model since that is the wiring info you linked to?
