What am I missing

So I'm thinking of replacing my head unit and speakers and I've got the head unit and speakers already but I've got the dash unit scosche gm-1587b and the chime retention metra gmoslan-034 so I'm wondering what else I might need, I've been reading all the topics and I think I've got everything, so am I forgeting something, thanks in advance guys

sounds like you have everything you need, just install the radio into the dash kit, wire the harness from the radio to the metra unit, and you should be ready to rock!

Sweet the only thing my car has blue tooth and steering wheel controls is that also covered in the gmlan kit?

yes, that kit should retain the onstar (Bluetooth is run through that)

I'm not sure about the steering wheel controls...there's no learn procedure in the instructions, so I'm guessing it doesn't cover them...but it seems strange that it wouldn't

it does have you press the volume up button while teaching Bluetooth, so maybe it is all integrated

I've got it, it has the interface for the ASWC... which is the steering wheel control interface, you would need to buy that separately

you would not need to worry about the specific wiring, as your GMLAN has the 12 pin interface to plug in directly to the ASWC

then learn the buttons, and everything should work perfectly
