Can I Remove the Annoying Key in Ignition Chime?

Just added a Pioneer stereo (DEH-P8400BH) and new door speakers. Now it has 2 different chimes. I guess the 2nd is from the new radio, so can I disable this?

What harness did you use to install the new radio?

If you used the PAC harness recommended by Crutchfield, there should be a blue module that has an On/Off switch as part of the harness. Turn that switch to "Off", and you're good to go.

Most cases I heard you have to buy an add module for the chimes to work...must of bought the expensive module or had it installed...got a pioneer 1500 and tried to sell me the module for the chimes to work for $100...
