Alpine 6x9s HELP

does anybody have any alpine 6x9s installed in the rear deck? crutchfield says none of the alpine models will fit because of the shape and theyd need a custom install.

Never heard of that?
I've got Memphis 6x9 in mine and to replace them had to tear the whole rear interior apart...most would of cut them out..GM idiots put them on the inside of the rear deck...
So really can't say but always thought a 6x9 is a 6x9
Is it a 2 or 4 door?

My. 08 LT had 6x9s in the rear, I put 5.25 and 1" tweeters in a plate because I am weird and used to do SQ competitions and a round speaker reads a little better on the scoring for quality

Any 6x9 will fit, some may not drop in from the top, but just screw them in from the bottom then, very easy

Your ear really can't hear the difference between round and oval, but I'm a perfectionist and had the mb quart 5.25 speakers that I was going to put in my previous car but never did

It was an easy plate to make, I've got pics posted here somewhere
