I'm no sure but I think it's more the center of the car. not really sure right now...
but also watch out for the power wire under the carpet..try not to pinch or drill that also..

I made a bracket that screwed into the back of the sub box and bolted to the bolt behind the back seats

I think the fuel tank is closer to the back seat than the trunk. In a coworkers suburban, we drilled through and bolted his box straight to the frame. At home depot, we got some wood screws with a square bit instead of phillips. But he's got a kicker l7 and $200 amp, and lives in a less than desirable neighborhood. He also turns it off before he hits his part of town. The less people around him know he has $600 worth in the back of his car, the better. My sub box only fit in through the back seat, then I mounted the amp on top of it. Have to take the amp off to get it out.

good idea there 09 colbalt 2.2
no drilling just a bracket to the seats..
and if I remember there should be like a little screw coming up from the body that holds the power wire harness maybe might be able to use that? just an idea? will it work don't know?

nice
don't mean to be a critic..
I like to hide wires would of ran the power wire, others up to the rear deck instead of floor...
gives the chances of wires being cut into or yanked...
but nice set-up......

You can't see the power wires or ground wires unless you put the back seats down

I loved my kickers with my alpine amp, amazing system. Might not be the loudest but my bass addicted Gf loved it.
