Exclamation Head Unit Backplate

Im having issues getting my head unit to sit right in my dash seems there isnt enough room for the harness with the back plate there, should i remove the stereo back plate? or am i just not getting everything to sit right? ANY and all help would be appreciated

I had to cut the back plate trim inside the dash out to fit my head unit as well. Did it 2 years ago, and have noticed no ill effect.

did u cut the whole thing out or just enough to allow the harness?

I removed almost all of the rear portion of the compartment. My single din head unit was too long to fit as well, so I had to remove a large portion of the compartment to allow the face of my head unit to fit flush. If I remember right, there was a metal brace at the rear of the compartment that I had to remove as well.

yup i removed the plastic bracket aand the metal brace, it fits perfect now thanks
