Your remote turn on wire and rca cables hook up in the back of the head unit then run back to the trunk and hook up into the amp. Power and ground for the amp is extremely simple to run because the battery is right there in the trunk

Battery in trunk is very nice for hooking up systems.
To touch off what was said
wire up your radio harness to aftermarket harness for your car
run rcas/remote wire(tiny blue wire) to amp
run power/ground to battery
wire up subs to amp via correct ohm load for amp
install radio in dash and sub box in location as well as secure amp

to tune amp
have all radio settings flat(at 0) except subwoofer level.
have that one max. This is your preout voltage on your radio.
set gain at 10/11 o clock on amp
sub sonic to minimum
low pass to 60/80 on radio or amp

you are ready to bump

If you need any more help feel free to ask here or pm me

Not how I would tune an amp. The gain being set wrong is what kills subs.

Gain is specific to the amp, the subs, the box, the vehicle, everything. You can't set it to one setting without being in the vehicle...that could very easily A) blow your subs up or B) sound like absolute trash.

You can surely use an oscope. Depending on his preout voltage, majority amp gains will be between 9-12:00. This being the sub amp specifically. I'm going by personal experience here. Have not blown any subs in the countless number of setups I've ran.
