I might have come on as a little harsh but I don't mean to bash on this OP but these next three pictures are taken from his install and here is where I have a problem.

1. I have nothing against crimp connectors they work great if done properly but this is a no-no. Frayed wires will touch and short out and is a quick way to lose your investment in a sound system.

2. Jamming a wire under a fuse probably works but a fuse tap is the right way.

3. Never mix positive and negative wire colors, Red is positive black or copper braid is ground. He even broke and split his battery vent tube and is now venting in the cabin.

I'm sorry but to me this is just not acceptable as a "How To" for our members and although it has merit I will delete it as soon has a better one is posted.

anybody got another diy for this. I want a real professional job. Maybe someone who had a system professionaly installed and can take some good pics of how they made everything look and sound good.
