ABS doesnt work but no dash lights

Hey guys, just bought an 09, she only has 60k miles and the engine runs like new, but she's seen better days but I plan on bringing her back to her former glory with a little money and TLC. Anyway the abs on it doesn't work but there are no lights on the dash other than a tpms. I live in Chicago and there is a good amount of snow here and I want to fix it before the snow comes. Is it more likely to be the abs module or a wheel speed sensor? Looking for tips on where to start looking

Maybe somebody taped over the ABS LED like we see on here so often from less than honest used car dealers that don't want to fix a costly problem.

Usually on these it is a wheel bearing wheel speed sensor or faulty connector on one of the wheels, if you have a lot of salt being applied on the winter roads. Then there's the rodent issue where they will chew wires. You can code this out with a Tech2 or Snap-On equivalent scanner.
