What should I do?

Ok so here's the situation. I have a 2008 cobalt sport paid in full 19K plus extended warranty, and about 5,300 miles on my car. I put about 5K maybe less maybe more worth in mods on my car. Insurance is about $1300 every 6 months. Now I was wondering, which would be a better decision? Should I trade my car for a used 2007 LSJ? Or should I just SC my car? Here's how I see it. If I trade, it probably won't be a equal trade (I found a nice 07 black lsj with 7k miles for $14k) cause my car is worth about 12k kelly blue book. Also dealers prob wont do equal trade cause they get no money out of it, so that would mean I would have to start doing payments for this car. That could be a problem since I don't get paid that much at my job. I don't know much about insurance, but if I trade, the insurance will probably go up cause the LSJ is SC. In a way trading is both a downgrade, and upgrade. (downgrade cause it's an 07 and I have an 08 ) Now if I just SC my car, here's how I see that. I can just save up money to get a full SC kit, and by that time my warranty should be or almost be up. A 2.4L sc'ed is faster than a stock LSJ, and with some bolt ons, even more. I don't have to change anything with my insurance. And in the end yeah probably the 3K I spend sc'ing my car will prob be the same money I pay in payments for an LSJ, but technically I can save more money sc'ing my car cause I don't have to worry about payments, meaning I can probably save more money for personal use like the future, than if I were making payments, and trying to save money. So what do you guys think would be a wise decision? Also financial decision as well. Also my balt is a DD, so I'm not really looking for A LOT of power yanno I just want some boost.

jus sc ur car. i dont inderstand y kidz always trade in their base model that they cant even afford 4 a ss/sc. If ur lookin 4 speed, trade in ur car for an ls1 or something...not a 200hp FWD cobalt.

Yeah, that's what my mom was saying. And my dad said that all the modding I do is to just try to make my self happy cause I originally wanted a mustang, but I didn't get one because of the gas prices and economy.

I don't have a base model lol. I'm not really a kid either I'm 22. But I just want a SC, cause I got to drive an LSJ, and I fell in love with the feeling of boost, and the sound of a SC. But I'm not really looking for speed either. That's kind of why the cobalt is best suited rather than like a camaro. (assuming that's what you mean by ls1) I just want a daily driver that has some balls. Plus boost makes you look cool. =P (not in a sense of showing off, just in a sense of like bragging that u have a sc haha)

i was planning on trading in my car and getting a new ss/tc. i decided to keep my car, and save more money. Then when i get enough money i can use the cobalt as adaily drive and get a real car, not a FWD "fast car".

If you really want to go faster though id say SC the 2.4. Just remember ur waranty would be shot, and resale on your car would be tough because its an aftermarket supercharger, most people wont be to thrilled about that.

Technically it shouldn't be after market if it's from another cobalt and also thats why I keep all my stock parts so I can always go back to 100% stock. And I plan to save up money so by the time I have 3K, My warrenty will be almost up anyway.

i agree with everyone else. i myself am debating on whether or not to sc and thats why i havent done any other mods yet. most of the time i want to do it but im planning on getting a g37 when i graduate. (parents giving me money ). but then i might want to keep both cars. idk just go with what you think will make you happy both economically and from a performance stand point.
