...power Steering Went Out

today, my power steering went out and i went to autozone and they told me to replace the fluid..but as you already know..cobalts dont run on fluid..it is an electrical unit..

which is a very expensive fix...

dont know what to do..

but what if it just goes out again..which by doing a little research, is a definite possibility

If the power steering dies i anyway does that mean you have no control on where the car goes?

Cars will always wear out.....have someone check and see if its an electrical problem causing the box to go out

It will go out again for sure - and it will start to happens more often evry time so just pull out your power steerinf fuse and drive without power steering till you fix it - but its expensive fix - need to replace your steering colom. I though Chevy has recall on that but not sure - go to deler and check

Here's a "how to" from another forum...it's a good write up. Do it yourself and you'll save a lot of money. Cobalt SS Network

If the link gets erased i'll pm you the link...or just go there and it's in the how to section.

that happened to a Chevy equinox at work once and all it was was the fuse. it blew out for some reason and just had to replace it and good to go lol. so before getting all worked up just check the fuse and hopefully that's it lol
