How Do You Replace The Outside Door Handle?

Hey guys/gals,
Sorry I am not even sure if this is posted in the right place or not, feel free to point me in the right direction.
Anyways to the point.
I was trying to open my door and the door was somewhat frozend and low and behold the f****n door handle bascially broke right off. It is not under warranty and where I have the chrome door handles on now I still have my old black ones that originally came with my car. I would like to put them back on but don't really want to pay the dealership $80.00/hr for labour for up to two hours to do it. Do you think this is something that can be done or should I just take it to the dealership? My car is a 2008 ls coupe
Thanks in advance

I've haven't done it either, but I've looked inside and have seen the backside of the door handle when I had my door panels off...... Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to me.... Just borrow some child labor from the neighborhood if you drop a part down inside the door..... Lol, they have small hands, and long skinny chicken arms to get where you can't reach!

GL with the repair!.... Biggest problem I forsee is paint matching, or not scratching original door paint.... But if it was me, I would at least try.... And if you fail, hopefully you save the repair guy time in labor by already having a few things removed

all it is is 2 bolts. Just take off your door panel and pull back the protective plastic and look for 2 bolts that line up with the door handle

hopefully getting them replaced this weekend

I know a couple of the mechanics at one of the dealerships and I asked one of them if they could come replace the door handle for me and he was like sure for a case of beer He said it will only take 10-15 minutes.
Now this sounds alot better then paying the dealership $80.0 plus taxes just for labour for replacing one side, especially when the door handles themselves are only $57.00
