Deciphering VIN Numbers

Whew, still trying to choose a cobalt.....

What is the difference in a VIN # between a 2 dr and a 4 dr sedan?

im pretty sure nothing, i dont think there is a VIN to tell u body style, just model. but i could be wrong...

There is a diffence. I have an 08 sedan the 6th digit in the vin is a 6 which identifies it as a four door sedan. If it was an 08 coupe the 6th digit would be a 1.

Current Mods: Eibach Pro-kit springs and anti-roll kit, KYB Excell-G struts and shocks, Moog sway links, Prothane Front Control Arm Bushings (coming soon)

^^ That's actually what I was gettin ready to post... where I deal w/ repos sometimes I have to figure a vehicle out by the vin. Like one time we got a Cougar that was burnt... so i had to use the VIN to find out what color it was. LOL
