Instrument Cluster Question

If i were to buy an 2005 SS intrument cluster for my car would it work in my car and is the mileage saved in the cars computer or cluster?

yes it is saved in the cars computer and if you buy the same year the whole DIC will work the same if you go outside of your years then only the outside temp and ______ work (someone please insert the other thing)

Mileage is saved in the computer..No offense but this has been discussed a couple of times during this week alone..Just make sure you get the cluster the same year as your car...

If you do get it to work, the speedometer will be off. The SS speedometer has a higher top speed. You will need to get the ECU flashed for it to read correctly.

Negative. It'll work just fine. The cluster has it's own computer inside. All u basically do is swap out the clusters. The harness comes from the car. I've already done this.
