Under the Knife Today!

Yep, my Cobalt is under the knife today! Dropped it off last night at the body shop to have the front bumper, condenser and radiator replaced. I also have to have them apply the TST Coating to the new parts so there isn't any difference in appearance. This all stemmed from an animal strike a few weeks back.

Well, that is all...just wanted to vent a little! It's gonna be a long 3 days with out my Balt! I'll keep you posted and hopefully, lots of car porn photos to come soon!

I had the same stuff replaced when i hit a raccoon. Damages I think totaled around $2500 if I am not mistaken. At that time I took advantage of the situation and had my insurance company front the bill for an SS/SC front bumper :p

They did specify the front bumper cover and some kind of lower deflector and clips..I have a feeling that I may get the SC lip as a bonus! Not counting on it, but that would be Sweet!

Tell me about it! $2800 estimate...thank God for insurance! My deductible is only $100 so at least I can afford to fix it!

Tuesday update...I have to take it back in 30 days to have the TST Coating applied to the bumper. The fresh paint needs to cure first. So far, everything is on schedule for pick-up Wednesday night or Thursday morning!

wOOt! It's done! No free SS/SC lip, but I decided I didn't really want it anyway, so I am happy. I kinda like the SS/NA bumper the way it is!

Sorry, dark already, so no pics...but I will have some soon! Probably this weekend...
