On Jan 12th my wife was T-Boned at a 4-Way Stop in our town. The Cobalt was hit by a Honda Odyssey right on the LH side, just behind the B-Pillar.
The car was pushed across the intersection, up over the curb and sidewalk and into two mailboxes and a wrought-iron fence, all of which were flattened.
My wife escaped with no cuts and two small bruises, although she suffered muscle and soft tissue injury that she is recovering from. The drivers window exploded and her sunglasses flew off and right out of the car.
As you can see from the pictures, for a small car, it did a pretty good job of protecting her from what could have been fatal injuries.
The airbag did not deploy as it was a side collision. She was wearing her seatbelt.
The doors are off because the firefighters had to cut her out of the car as the doors would not open.
Rest in peace Cobalt. You did a good job.
