Recall... Just Got in the Mail Today (MRA)

I got a letter from GM stating that my G5 and other G5/Cobalts are under a recall for the Modular Reservoir Assembly (MRA) and that it may Crack.

I Already had this replaced on my G5 a few months back, but it also stated in the letter that I should take it back in to make sure if it was replaced that it was replaced with an up to date unit, and not just a replacement of the same quality...

Has anyone else gotten this recall or am I the First?

I brought this to Chevy dealership but they still tried to charge me for diagnostics? Are they allowed to do that?

ALL diagnostics/labor and parts are NO CHARGE to you, regardless of vehicle age or mileage,,,IF... you got a recall letter for that specific vehicle. If you take your vehicle in to the dealer without getting a recall notice or your vehicle is not involved, just to have it examined or checked, then that cost is on you and is like any other service dept. visit.
Seems the vehicles involved with this are in warm climate areas.. FL,TX,AL etc. The part I don't get is... people move all over the country, cars are sold and relocated daily from "warm to cold areas". How do theirs get repaired and up to specs?? Hmmmmm..

Well my vehicle falls under the specs because it's currently registered in hawaii. I showed them the recall papers and told them everything that was wrong. They still tried to tell me that they would still have to charge me for diagnostics because they have to "pay their technicians" and they have to check if this is really the problem..wtf??

yeah 423 is right.. this recall is only for the warmer states.. i was reading about it a few weeks back... dealer i work for in jersey.. wont even mess with it unless the car was sold in a state that is in concern...it really sucks for the sales guys.. becouse they have to serch threw the sale records of all the used cobalts we get in now... so they can be takein care of before being sold
