Do the Manual Cobalts Have

have a skid plate under the manual transmission and if so is it metal or platic?

What happens if you run over a rock on the highway or something and crack your case?

If you run over a "rock" on the highway that just means your not paying attention. You should be able to see something large enough that could damage the underside of the tranny/engine.
