there's other kinds of cars semi effected too.

Parking brake may fail.

Nothing to do with the parking brake. Problem is Park may not be properly engaged in the transmission.

Surprised it is just 09's. Have an 08 and don't think they changed anything.

Look for the date on that recall... It was issued a year ago.
