How to Lower Insurance?

Personally i think im paying too much for insurance, no points on lincense, no tickets ever, im single, NY, ~12,000 miles a year, under my moms insurance, and dodge more old ****s and self important techno ****s than anyone and im still paying $260 a month

Besides a safe driving course, what else could i do to lower this some, its almost as much as my car payment ($286). I figured i would of gotten some discounts for the safety features on the car (side curtain airbags, onstar, etc)

Im talkin to my insurance agent this week, so ANY ideas would help..

All you can really do is wait and not get into any accidents. I get my insurance lowered for having a 3.0+ GPA, so check on that.

Age will make a difference, the area you live in impacts it as well.

I just had mine dropped from $250 a month (for 10 months, though I get 12 month coverage) to about $180, after I turned 19.

Time will give you discounts, also one already mentioned the "good student" discount. Also do nto tell your agent about any power adders, or big stereos. Getting married helps also.

I'm not even 30 (but will be in May) and my knees are sore at times. Like they will be tomorrow after washing and waxing the car.

But anyway my insurance dropped when I was 21 then again at 25.
Now i'm paing $75 a month for full coverage with State Farm.
Been briving since 96
Never any tickets of any kind, 1 accident in 2000 that was not my fault so my rates did not go up as a result.

how long have you had your license? mine just dropped last month because i've had it for 3 years now. they give you a experienced driver discount. and then it will keep dropping as you get older.
