Post Is There a Way to Get GM to Pay for My Paint?

I have a 2008 LT w/ 39xxx miles on it, i have several symmetrical spots on boths side of the car (10 or so total) that are losing the clear coat, it looks horrible, i dont think im at fault here, my car stays clean and i wax it regularly, i bout it used at 36k in december from a used gm dealership. I think they should have to pay for a new clearcoat...gm doesnt advertise the 2 yr/40,000mile paint wear do they?

Already tried it when min had about 10,000 miles with three different dealers/two states. They will find anything to not pay for something

with the GM places around me.... good luck getting them to pay for anything. They had to reset my FOB and by doing so they managed to put a scratch by the drivers door bout as long as the spacebar on the pc. it has scratches and has been keyed before i got it so they said it was there...

my 09 with just over 36,000 miles on it is missing a few chunks of clear on the front bumper [at the corner of the grill crossbar and under the passenger side headlight from when headlight was removed then re-installed]. also, just for kicks i went out a few days ago and put black tape along the bottom of my front bumper to see what the "evo mod" would look like on it. tape was nothing special, just regular black tape. anyway, i put that on then once i was done i took it off and the entire length of tape had silver on it luckily it didn't take all the paint off!

i had a buddy who paints cars look at mine, and he said it was overcoat or overspray or something, it apparently can be buffed out so im gonna throw him $120 to detail my whole car and for saving me a few hundred bucks if it really is true....i hope it is!
