Suspension Bushings - Tip

Took my 08 (35K km) in today because of a minor problem with the remote (doesn't work every now and then).

A few minutes later the service advisor came looking for me, saying the control arm bushings are shot, really shot. Said shouldn't drive it that way so they are changing tonight with an updated part. Takes 3 hours and is under warranty. Also said it is a common problem and he has seen them shot at as little as 10K km.

It's my wife's car and can't say it wasn't obvious there was anything wrong. There is a clunk going over big bumps but cars will do that.

So if your car is still under warranty, I'd watch for this and take it in. Doesn't cost anything!

My car definitely clunks at the right rear wheel when hitting bumps, I think I also have a bearing problem cause there is a very light whooshing sound per every revolution of the axle in the front.. lol 10k on this b!t#h and shes already taking a dump.

Thanks for the tip tho, good to know.
