Performance Question

I have a new 2010 Cobalt XFE 5spd. manual. I have around 2000 miles on it how. When it is hot in the afternoon and it has been running for a while, it starts reving when the clutch is depressed between gear shifts. This happens even if I try to lug it a bit before I shift. Any thoughts?

No, sounds like it could be an issue with your throttle body or something.

i dont have a 5sp but i have a 2010 cobalt ls, and i noticed that it acted up when i had the stupid plastic engine cover on it, but i took that off and the coolant temp went from 184-194 with the cover on to 174-184 without the cover and my car doesnt like humiditity because whens it humid it runs hot

Yeah, mine is running around 184-190 in the afternoon. That is when it acts up also. I'll check it out.

Remove the throttle body and clean it really well. After GM went with this new DBW system...the electronic controlled throttle bodies get gunked up causing many different issues...starting, stalling, high/low/choppy idle, etc. I know this has nothing to do with engine temps but it might be the cause of your sporadic idle movements.
