What is the Proper Coolant Level ?

please don't blast me for this stupid question : I have a 1 year old (2009) XFE and the orange color coolant level in the white plastic overflow container is 1/2 full when engine is warm. Is that a proper level ?
Million thanks .

There should be a line on that white bottle when the car is cold and another line when the car is hot

^^ what he said. just look on the tank itself and there should be marked places of the proper coolant level.

Like said above.... but take a black magic marker/sharpie and "highlite" the raised lever marker and words embossed on the tank. A lot easier to see and check!!
