So My Cobalt Got Wrecked...!

Made the mistake and let the woman drive the car and she rear-ended a truck. The hitch pretty much destroyed the front end. It was an 06 LT sedan. Check it...

Autopac here estimated 13 thousand dollars worth of damage to it, wrote the thing off. Offered me $7900 for it. I still owed $8900 for the bank loan for it, so I *****ed at them about the price they offered me and they bumped it up to $9400. So not bad I guess. This happened last week of November. Just got a new one this weekend....

2007 LT coupe. Wanted to badly go for an SS, but the bank loan just wouldn't let it happen with how much they would let me borrow. Keep in mind, I'm on a students budget :P

Overall, I love this newer one so much already. Somehow my 6000K HIDs survived the crash of the first car, so I'll have to try and get them in this one sometime this week (Winnipeg's in the midst of a -30 degree freezer right now). Also gotta re-tint my taillights and debadge again. Probably just gunna leave that till springtime when it warms up. I don't have the luxuries of a heated garage unfortunately. Haha

Meh, it was in my price range, and good on gas, which is really what mattered to me. Over the past year I've wanted a black coupe, so I took the opportunity. Didn't have any problems with my old cobalt, it treated me good, so I stuck with it.

The woman didn't get hurt, so thats good.

Auto. Was gunna go for something manual. But driving to school and back everyday in winters here is slow enough as it is. I could only imagine how much a pain in the ass it would be on and off the clutch for over an hour in stop-and-go traffic every morning :P

I'm glad to hear that she was ok.

I would not let her drive the new balt. Let her ride in it only if she is good.
