Exclamation Should I Buy?? Need Opinions

im looking for an ss and i found one for cheap(7500) its yellow and is supercharged. i believe its an 06. but my question is should i buy it even tho its a reconstructed title. it has 54000 miles the guy put 32000 since he rebuilt it. ive been talking to the guy and the repair seems pretty legit. it was a front-end hit and it messed up the right frame rail. he got a new rad support and welded it together and painted it. the only things replaced were the radiator and the fans. i need opinions if its worth looking at and checking out with a mechanic.
thanks dudes

I would check with your insurance as well and it is worth doing, but have a mechanic take a look at it, see if they have reciepts for the rebuild as well. But also it sounds like the car is rebult body wise? Clear title or not?

yea it was in a frontend hit and some of the frame was damaged. i have pictures of the repairs and it look legit and he has receipts for the parts he put on. i am having a mechanic look at it. I mean the car looks clean and it is very cheap for an SS.

Resale value is going to kill you on that car with a redone title...unless you plan on keeping it until the day you die.

I'd give him 6k or so for it...or less.

^^^I agree with him. I'd keep looking for something with a clean title and no problems. It's better in the long run. Alot of times there's nothing wrong with rebuilts, but I personnaly wouldn't but one though.

well the thing is, with my position in money, i am able to buy the car. one, it has decently low miles.two, the car is very clean inside and out. if i buy this car for 7000, im not expecting to get alot of money for the resale value. i mean im getting the car for way cheaper than any SS's i have found. and it kind of evens out, im not looking to sell a car for a lot of money when i got the car very cheap in the first place so it goes either way. and i am planning on keeping this car until i run it into the ground.

Think... and spend your money WISELY. This is not the way to go for what you want it for, short or long term. It is titled that way specifically to protect the buyer. Listen to what it's saying.

check with the insurance company first, some companies do not insure rebuild titles or whatever a state calls them. And it may be significantly higher than a normal title car, if they will insure it.
Was told by my insurance company after buying my totaled truck back that the insurance would go up, due to it being totaled.

Just be wise and research all options, it is your money.
