2006 Cobalt Horn Blowing when Opening Door

My neighbor has a 2006 Cobalt, every morning when she opens the door the horn starts blowing..She uses the remote to lock and unlock, any ideas ??

Disable the horn. It's a simple pull of a plug. Why it does that, I wish I could help you out further.

I have a similar problem, but it doesn't happen every time. usually only once in a blue moon, my remote start causes my alarm to go off.

Try getting them to manually lock and unlock the doors, and then using the remote starter again. Might help.

Sounds to me like the car does not recognize the remote and unlocks the doors but does not turn of the "alarm". My horn will honk if I lock the doors with the remote and then don't un-lock it with the remote (just use the key in the door to unlock) but if i use the remote for both no issues.
