Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but I decided to give this issue another whack. Primarily because I'm tired of my HID's cycling on-and-off because of my garage. Doing some general web (and some cobalt specific) searches, it seems some people have solved this problem by disconnecting the sensor at the BCM and wiring in a resistor to trick the computer into thinking there's daylight.
My shop manual says the ambient light sensor is in BCMx2:
Pin 44, L-Gn/Bk
Pin 47, Ye/Bk
Anyone ever tried this? If not, I will volunteer my car as a test subject and post the results.
