Can I Put My 05 Cobalt Base Model Engine in a 2007 Ss Water Damaged Cobalt?
So I could not find any threads similar to my question, so here it goes.
I have a 05 Cobalt Base model 4s, but really want an 07 ss Cobalt coupe. I've been looking online and have found some REALLY f'n cheap 07's that have water damage from a flood. The interior and exterior of these cars generally look awesome, but the engines are messed up.
So here's the question; Can I take my 05 base model engine and put it in a 2007 ss cobalt? At least until I can do some upgrades, I would love to have an 07.
Also, what kind of problems come with flood damaged vehicles?
You're right. I have no clue how much work goes into doing something like this, and this is why I am asking people like you who are as it says under your name, specialists. Would it just be cheaper to buy an 07 or have someone (I know a few people who would be able to) swap engines for me?

I have not been able to acquire enough info on this specific 07 Im looking at, So I really couldnt tell you if it has or not. I was doing some research and everything was telling me I shouldnt. Mainly due to the corrosive damage done to the electronics. Jmesl8er were your problems with the Dodge electric?
Electrical problems, interior smelling no matter how much u shampoo'd it, rust under the carpet. Plus I couldn't unload it because it had flooding on its carfax. Not worth the hassle. Get car. Sell parts, buy supercharger for your car
