2012 SEMA Show Coverage

Each Fall the SEMA Show brings together tuners, car customizers and even folks from the realm of motorsports to showcase some of the most wildly modified vehicles in the world.

Along with the usual elements, this year watch for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ to steal the show like they have stolen the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world. Plus, Meguiar's will return with its Car Crazy International Vehicle Showcase while the Global Rallycross series will put on an exciting demo event.

AutoGuide will be on hand October 30-31st to deliver live reports, photos and video on all the major reveals. Plus, watch for our Top 10 Worst Cars of SEMA list to make a return.

Brz only has like 200hp...genesis is 274 or 360 depending on model. I don't understand how the Brz is so popular

Because it does what no automaker has done for decades.

Create a lower powered, lightweight, RWD, manual sports car that can out corner cars three times it's price.

Go back to the 60's with the original Mini Cooper vs. the Pony cars. Sure the bigger cars will take it on the straights but it's right back with them in the corners.

Automakers nowadays have to tailor to lazy America and the rest of the world and it ruins the driving experience...TCS, ABS, SMG/DSG transmissions...does the car technically go faster around a track with them? Sure. Is it as much fun and connect the driver to the car? No.

That's why I'm sure a huge fan of the FR-S/BR-Z...in short.
