DIY Door Lock Problem

well whent out to fax my taxes and i go to open my door and my damn doors wouldnt unlock! so i had to jam my key in the whole and give er a good crank. got err opened and the passenger would not move up at all and i could smell a electric smell so im guessing my actuator got stuck and the actuator kept truying to unlock and burnt itself out. as i tried to unlock it and i had to pull on her hard to get err up figured if both unlocked it would synchronize. hoping i can figure this out any ideas? unfortunately i cant open the doors and investigate as im at work. so was hoping someone has a solution or had this problem before?

next thing im gonna try is reset battery. the fob does light up on clicks. so in guessing its an actuator problem.

If you are smelling an electrical smell, then im thinking the main box/controller shorted and burned up. Check the in-line fuse it has to see if it is intact. Also check the power wires that power the actuator to see if it is putting any voltage out (the blue and green wires). The system relies on the position of the main actuator and if the passenger side is locked but the drivers side isnt and you try to unlock the car nothing will happen.
Good Luck!
