Composite Engine Mount

Over the next 9 weeks, Ill have access to a pretty awesome fabrication lab as well as pretty much whatever composites(carbon fiber, kevlar, fiberglass, etc) I want. One of the things I was thinking of making is an upper engine mount.

I may just model it after my ttr one since its just for a class and doesnt have to actually work, but Ill probably end up modifying that for strength and a sense of originality. I have no plans on using this as a full time engine mount whatsoever, but I might put it on just to see if it works in my driveway if I feel confident in my results.

Anyway, anyone have experience with composites, ideas, thoughts, etc...

One thing Im not sure about is what to do about a bushing.

Are you starting with a cast piece of metal and milling? What kind of tools? Usually companies that produce this stuff, put some time in engineering or at least copy another company. Probably be hard to make a better one.
