Sick Mod Brah

So I woke up with this brilliant idea, a single strip of yellow electrical tape and boom! Instant racecar. My father thinks it'll ''attract attention'', which goes against my whole philosophy, but I am preping my car for track duty and I think that'll justify it. What do you guys think?

Good idea if you were actually racing today. That's something you can do on race day. It literally take 30 seconds.... seems ricey to drive around like that everyday. It's kinda like your looking for attention. You must be young... because that's the type of thing I did when I was young and had my CRX and I was young and looking for attention.

Heh, I suppose it may look a little silly now, but I imagine it'd be useful going around a track.

The police can't pull someone over just because he has some aftermarket gauges and a piece of tape on his steering wheel. I figure if I drive respectfully and within the limits of the law, it shouldn't cause an issue. Besides, the exterior of my car is what everybody will see, and save for the 4'' exhaust tip and the 1.5'' drop, the car is stock. Borders on invisible with all the modded Civics and Golfs going around causing trouble.

I'm 26. Have no intention of racing on the streets today or any day, and my name is not Plain Jane because I'm looking for attention lol

I suppose it could help when racing on a track, if you didn't know which way your steering wheel was supposed be. I've done a few autocross races and never had to mark the wheel, mainly because I drive the car everyday and know the car. To me I feel that if you need.to mark the wheel to know it's position maybe you shouldn't be racing.... just saying.

A valid point, but then how do you explain the real race car drivers out there who have the tape? Surely if there's anyone who knows how to drive their cars it's them. I mean, they're paid to know.

But I guess that's an unfair comparison.

If it looks that ricey I'll just take it off. I'm Canadian, I can take constructive criticism very well

You can do with your car as you want to do with your car. All I was saying is that I wouldn't do...

I asked for opinions, and that's what I expected to get. I won't get all butthurt if someone thinks it's a bad idea. I think it looks sharp, but if it'll get me in trouble or make it seem that I'm looking for trouble, I may just remove it. No harm done.

I've actually never seen this "mod" before.. do they use it with another mark on the dash somewhere so they know the wheel is straight?
