Shift light For you 5speed drivers

Ok I cant be the only one That wants that damn thing gone. Does anyone know how to disable the factory shift light?

I wish. That thing is A) too conservative and B) distracting.

My life would be better with it gone.

i wish i had it! i am gonna install an aftermarket light so i can change when i shift my gears, and have it set so i can get the same shifts each time.

lol I like it think it's good GM put that in the car for fuel conservation.

It seems like a good idea to me. I mean, when the light comes on its not telling you "hey shift now or im shutting this thing down". Pay attention while cruising, ignore while at WOT. Seems easy enough for me.

My turbo lag is your courtesy head start.

yea, I had them in a few cars, never paid it attention and never got pissed because of it. The SS does not have it though.

yeah, my ss doesnt have it, but the 94 ford escort wagon my shop has has it......

ive never even seen one of these go off.. why isnt in the ss/sc? is there anyway to turn it on somehow? i would be interested to see when it goes off to better my gas mileage.
