Can Someone Help Me Out?

ok, i got a cel. and its reading antifreeze/thermostat.

my car seems to be running perfectly. my anitfreeze is at the correct level.

it stays on 99% of the time. every once in a blue moon it will go away but return by the end of the night

nothing seems to be affected but its so annoying

any suggestions?

go to the dealer and have them scan it with gm tech 2.. have them clear the code. and reflash your pcm..

or..

go out unplug your battery. put your foot down on the gas. then plug your battery back in 15 min later it resets every thing. if you get the cel again then you do have a problem.

Check your engine temp in the DIC, if the thermostat is stuck closed then your engine will run super hot, if it is stuck open then your engine wont get hot at all. Also could be a sending unit for the water temp.

What is the temperature range you are running?

Sorry if I explained a lot there, just want to make sure you know what I'm sayin...

Check what the DIC says when the CEL first comes on (even if the problem disappears quickly, the CEL doesn't reset itself for some time).

what code is it throwing, when the computer was scanned, it will give you a particular letter/number signature, like P0123(test code, not an actual code)

what does it say?
