How do you reset the oil counter

The % counter in the drivers information center thing... I changed my oil and it still says to change soon, a buddy said there might be a button or something I have to push to reset it. Anyone know?

for my car, prob same for you too, you do this.
Turn on the cars power. Turn to the oil meter and old in the enter button. Then press the gas 3 times. For me that always resets it. I tend not pay any mind to it either way though, i know i change my oil every 3000.

Hold both of your DIC buttons. It will go into a menu then you will find "oil life reset" then you hit the right button to reset it.

Not being an A--, but....look in your owners manual, it tells you how to reset it with your DIC buttons.
You should be able to reset it like above by turning the key to "on" -- engine NOT running -- and then pressing the gas pedal to the floor three times. This worked on my 06 LS -- haven't tried it on my 07 SS yet.

That worked, thanks for the info, and yeah my owners manual is sitting in Iraq so not much I can do with it.
