So i get a CEL

First off...i drive an 07 LT cobalt..Anyway...i get Po171 (bank 1 system too lean)...thats the first 02 sensor b4 the cat...so i go to the local autoparts place...they want 170 dollars for the sensor....yea...that aint happenin...so im driving my car last night and i look down and the CEL dissapears....now i drive it today and theres no CEL ...god this car is so wierd

Can you believe that. That just happened.

FIRST...Don't go back to that local autoparts place...the factory O2 sensor is 1/3rd that price!

When you get a CEL get the codes read and clear them -- it can just be a glitch, maybe moisture from the car sitting awhile or something like that. Don't start replacing anything without checking it out first. Have you already killed your warranty?

someone else has a balt throwing the same CEL. do you have an A/M air intake?

CAI and yea no leaks

MDcobalt2.2 added 0 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...

im gonna clean the maf sensor tommorow and see if that helps

If your CAI is a two piece, then check the joint between the two pieces. if not, check the hump hose that attaches the CAI to the throttle body

the fujita uses the stock intake peice on the throttle body...just connects to the pipe off that

Can you believe that. That just happened.
