How much did people pay for their keyless remote to replace

I called the Chevy dealer by me they said $67.50 to replace the keyless remote,I wont mind paying the price if having to,but did people less then that?

My dealership was going to charge me $50 for the keyless remote and $25 to program it =$75

i just got my spare remote from ebay for $15 and got the dealership to program it.


'07 Cobalt LT Sedan
Mods: Tint, debadged, pioneer aftermarket stereo w/2 10", Tinted tail lights, black halo projector headlights, 8000k HID's, B&M Shift+, LSJ DP, GMPP Exhast.

Best bet is to find them on ebay or else where online. If you have to pay a dealership to program it, oh well, but sometimes if you know people there, that will save you some money.

I believe the guy must of meant including programing because he didn't say anything about additional money to program the remote,I think the guy must of meant 67.50 with all of it total together.

i found a way to program it yourself but i will have to find it... i programmed one for my last car myself only payed the cost for it on ebay.

Yeah I heard people are starting to do that instead of going to the dealer.

on my last car there bas a wire "terminal" in the pass side of the trunk under the felt. all you had to do was ground it and press and hold the lock buttons and that was it. really easy. still looking for the how to on our cars.

I am not to familiar with keyless entry related stuff,first time I ever had a car with that shit,feels great to use,but when it went out I was like damn it lol

this is for an 05. not sure if this is right but you can give it a try... if it works let me know so i can post it in DIY
Programming Instructions:
1. Close all the vehicle doors.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Press and hold the door unlock switch.
4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
7. Repeat the previous step to program up to 4 transmitters.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter programming mode.
9. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

ok cool,I wont beable to do it today since the dealer closed at 1pm to go buy the keyless remote,and the one I already have doesn't work it seems.
